With a mix of sorrow and reverence, I share the passing of Lily—my beloved companion, teacher, and the heart of Interspecies Peace™. Lily was more than a horse. She was a pillar of wisdom, a bridge between worlds, and an active guide. She stood beside me as I built this work, offering transformative grace until she gently signaled: “It’s time.”
Grief is not a burden—it is a gift. A sacred acknowledgment of love so vast that it mirrors our bonds with all beings and the Earth itself. Today, loss touches us in many forms: the animals who walk beside us, the landscapes that shape us, even the ground we call home. In a world of unraveling ecosystems and unspoken goodbyes, may we meet grief not with avoidance, but with the same fierce reverence we give to life.
