Eleni and Lily horse, now 32 years old and counting!
It’s rare that I meet a horse and immediately think “unicorn”, but Lily is that kind of horse! And like all unicorns, she is only recognisable to most humans as a white-haired mare.
Lily is the soul companion of Eleni Gkikakis, my dear friend and colleague for the past ten years.
Lily has been more than Eleni’s horse companion; she has been a generous teacher and a beacon of light, imparting wisdom and healing through her unique connection which can only be described as unicorn energy.
Now, Lily is the guiding spirit behind Interspecies Peace, conceptualised in 2015 and founded in 2018. But Lily began her life as a rescued eventing horse, but with Eleni’s devotion, she became an award-winning show jumper.
When Lily fell gravely ill after a severe accident, Eleni quickly learned that the conventional veterinary approach to animal health was insufficient. Lily became the inspiration for White Flower Remedies, the business that Eleni created to offer holistic animal nutrition, informed by animal homeopathy and intuitive communication with animals. Over the years, Eleni has saved the lives of many, many animals that vets didn’t think would survive, let alone fully heal and thrive. And it started with Lily.

Lily has overcome incredible health challenges throughout her life of 32 years so far, from multiple near-death experiences and colic, to accidents and hip bone fractures. Most recently, a stroke marked a poignant phase in her remarkable journey, and it was only because Lily lives on the same property as Eleni that she was able to pull through with her care.
These two have navigated life's paths for 23 years, and Eleni has always chosen only the most comfortable tack, equipment and accessories, to match the quality of care for Lily. The latest saddle that Lily wore has borne witness to countless moments of intuitive guidance, healing, and profound insights. Details of the saddle are below.
This saddle isn't just a piece of equipment; it's a repository of magical energies and stories waiting to be carried forward by another caring human and horse.
So, to honour Lily's incredible legacy, and properly support her in these senior years, Eleni has decided to part with this cherished saddle in an auction, as part of the fundraising campaign for Lily’s care.
How does this campaign work?
The cost of food, medicines and supplements, holistic veterinary care, blankets and other care for Lily are very high, especially in winter, and come to at least €400 per month.
Please consider donating to Lily’s health costs, or bidding for Lily’s saddle in this auction! All the donations go directly to Lily's rehabilitation, to ensure she lives out her time with the dignity she so richly deserves.
As part of the fundraising campaign, a free online event will be held around Equinox in March for all donors, to introduce you to Equine consciousness through Nature communication, the details of which are below.

Details: Saddle comes with accessories for extra padding to fill underneath if needed. It’s 13 years old, but has only been ridden for 7 years until 2017, and once in 2018. It is in very good condition, soft and well cared for. This is a hybrid saddle, meaning it has a very flexible tree that moves along with the horse’s back. Lily is 168cm tall and this saddle fits her beautifully, which she wore in some show-jumping and dressage competitions.
What is Nature communication with horses?
Horses are perfect teachers of equanimity, grace and power. Their wisdom is accessible to us through expanding our range of senses and awareness, to engage in two-way conversation with them, mind to mind and heart to heart. This has been called intuitive communication, interspecies communication, and horse whispering. And it’s easier than one might expect!
All humans are born with the capacity to commune and communicate with any aspect of Nature, because we are Nature. This way of being exists beyond all languages, and has been known and practised by indigenous peoples worldwide for millennia. Although many have forgotten how to use this ancient ability, it is possible to reclaim the power of this birth-right, allowing access to the deeper intelligence and wisdom of Nature that is not often available to our everyday human minds, to benefit all life.
Some people have dedicated their lives to becoming professional Nature communicators, and to act as translators between humans, animals and the rest of Nature. Saskia and Eleni are two such Nature communicators.
This event is for all levels of experience, and for anybody curious about or interested in communing and communicating with horses, including those who practise it already.
While we won’t cover step-by-step guidelines for Nature communication (please see other events for these workshops), Eleni and Saskia will guide you in experiencing a unique way of connecting with horses and unicorn consciousness that is practical and relevant for everyday life.
And why is Nature communication important?
By including horses and other aspects of Nature as stakeholders in decision-making, we can co-create our shared future with them. On a practical level, communicating with animals helps us make more holistic and efficient decisions in all aspects of our lives. Horses are especially sensitive animals, and respond well to deeper communication, whether it’s training for dressage or showjumping competitions, creating a diet plan, understanding symptoms before they turn into severe health issues, fitting a bridle or saddle to be more comfortable, getting horses used to horse boxes or new surroundings, or understanding their personalities better to develop a deeper bond with them.
When it comes to communicating with other aspects of Nature, it’s equally practical for growing food, choosing a place to live, understanding the behaviour of wild or domestic animals, creating rituals and ceremonies for inspiration and abundance, expanding your professional work in ecological alignment, or healing traumas to become whole and to spiritually evolve.
Nature communication is also a critical skill for empowering physical, mental and emotional vitality, to grow beyond resilience into a dynamic state of thriving. It offers a key to unlocking greater joy and harmony in our relationships with ourselves, other humans, and the rest of Nature, and can complement any faith or belief system.
The future of human existence depends on dialogue with other species, as they call on us to co-evolve and create our next steps in alignment with all of Nature.

ELENI GKIKAKIS
Eleni Gkikakis' journey into the realm of interspecies communication began when she was a small child having conversations with the flowers in her family's garden. After completing a B.Sc. in Mass Communications and Media Arts, she began a successful career in the field. However, those early interactions with Nature had sparked a lifelong passion.
Eleni's life changed irrevocably, when she faced a heart-wrenching challenge, saving her beloved horse Lily from illnesses after a serious accident. Disillusioned by conventional methods that failed to offer cure, she turned to a path less traveled, embracing holistic veterinary medicine and homeopathy. Her faith and dedication were rewarded when Lily, defying all odds, not only survived but thrived, and recently celebrated her 32nd birthday. This triumph was a turning point, propelling Eleni deeper into the realms of interspecies communication, natural care and holistic animal healing.
For over twenty years, Eleni has forged a path in the world of Interspecies Communication, dedicating her life to nurturing a profound connection between humans, animals and Nature. Eleni's commitment is rooted in interspecies peace, a belief and goal she tirelessly works towards through the Interspecies Peace Foundation. Her vision is a world where every fence and border dissolves in the light of understanding and mutual respect, creating a harmonious coexistence for all beings.
Eleni's passion led her to expand her intuitive and sacred activism skills through the Academy for LionHearted Leadership. Her recent graduation from CoreLight's New Paradigm of the Heart training is yet another milestone in her never-ending quest to bridge the chasm between humans and the natural world. As a sacred activist, Eleni's compassion extends across continents. She's been a part of life-changing conservation efforts in Africa with organizations like The Jane Goodall Institute and the Global White Lion Protection Trust.

DR SASKIA VON DIEST
Saskia is the founder of Ecofluency, as well as consultant, educator, and activist in the field of Nature communication.
This biggest turning point in her life to date was attending an animal communication workshop during her PhD (Plant Pathology) in 2012. It completely changed her worldview, and sparked her interest in how farmers use intuitive communication with nature to inform practical management decisions. From 2014-2020, she held two postdoctoral fellowships, at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and at Coventry University, UK, to investigate intuitive farming as part of a wider new field of subtle agroecology.
Throughout her postdoctoral years, she further developed her own understanding and practice in communicating with trees, animals, land, nature spirits and ancestors. She’s also trained as a Family Constellations facilitator, in Jikiden (Usui) Reiki, and in the Way of the Warrior Healer for energy field clearings and psychic surgery.
In 2021, she founded Ecofluency, to offer consulting, facilitation, teaching and coaching in Nature communication, and promote other human voices in this field. With 15 years of experience in teaching and facilitating through various forms and in many countries, her passion is creating opportunities for others to have their own experience of communicating with non-human Nature, and develop that for individual and the collective transformation: ecofluency.org
